The history of Roma Jewellers dates back to 1983 when it commenced its journey from a modest shop located in Kruis St, nestled in the bustling Johannesburg CBD. Rapidly outgrowing its confines, the company relocated to Pritchard street – setting the stage for a remarkable expansion.

With a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and unique designer jewellery, Roma Jewellers established its reputation as the premier destination for discerning clients. Following its success in Rosebank, the company relocated once again to the illustrious Sandton district, where its loyal clientele from those early days still visit to acquire timeless pieces of jewellery that will endure for a lifetime.

Our Commitment & Social Responsibility

Roma Jewellers is a proud member of the Jewellery Council of South Africa, located in Johannesburg. The Council serves a vital role in representing the interests of wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers in the jewellery industry.

Its activities are specific to these three sectors and encompass a wide range of initiatives – including local and international marketing, governmental representation, organization of trade fairs, seminars & training courses, and the operation of an internationally recognized Diamond Certification Laboratory. The Council also provides valuable industry information to its members.

Conflict Free Diamonds

Roma Jewellers supports the Kimberley Process of 2003 that prevents conflict diamonds from entering global markets in order to finance rebel movements and often is surrounded by human rights abuses. We believe this form of exploitation is unacceptable and Roma Jewellers ensures we do not support conflict diamond trades.

Our stones are sourced from reputable sources that adhere to the principles of caring for human rights and the environment, empowering and improving livelihoods of communities.
